We’re all living on borrowed time, whether we realize it or not. In this week's podcast episode, I talk about one of those wake-up calls that grabs you by the shoulders and shakes you.
We often move through life like we have all the time in the world. We put things off, hold grudges, and forget to appreciate the little moments.
But life isn’t a guarantee; it’s a gift.
Recently, God nudged me. The message was clear: “How dare you live as if you’re not on borrowed time?” It was a reminder to cherish every breath, every moment, every chance to love deeper and live fully.
When you truly grasp that time is borrowed, it changes your perspective. It makes the mundane suddenly matter and the “big things” seem smaller. It urges you to show up—fully present—for your family, your friends, and even yourself. It inspires you to hug your loved ones a little tighter, forgive a little quicker, and stop taking days for granted.
But living on borrowed time isn’t just about urgency; it’s also about intention. It’s a call to live a purposeful life, to stop playing it safe, and to boldly pursue your dreams. It’s a challenge to stop waiting for the “right time,” because let’s be honest—the right time is now.
Take a moment today. Breathe deeply, look around, and ask yourself: What would I do differently if I knew my time was running short? Would you be bolder? Would you say “I love you” more often? Would you finally start that passion project you’ve been talking about?
Today is the day to start living like you mean it. Love deeply, serve genuinely, and do it all like your time is running out—because it is.
